An Egyptian and an American are seated next to each other on
a flight from New York.
مصرى وامريكى جلسا جنباً الى جنب فى الطائرة على الرحلة المتجهة الى نيويورك
The American asks if he would like to play
a fun-game.
اراد الامريكى ان يلعب مع جاره المصرى لعبة مسلية
The Egyptian, tired, just wants to take a nap,
ولكن المصرى كان يريد ان يستريح قليلا
so he politely
declines and rolls over to the window to catch a few winks.
فاعتذر بادب واستدار الى النافذة ليحصل على بعض النعاس
The American persists and explains that the game is easy and a
lot of fun.
اصر الامريكة واوضح انها لعبة سهلة ولكنها ممتعة
He says, "I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer,
ساسالك سؤال واذا لم تعرف الاجابة تدفع لى 5 دولارات
you pay me $5, and vice versa." Again, the Egyptian declines and
tries to get some sleep.
مرة اخرى رفض المصرى العرض وحاول النوم
The American, now worked up, says, "Okay, if you don't know the
answer, you pay me $5, and if I don't know the answer, I'll pay you
$500."
وهنا بدأ الامريكى العمل
حسنا اسالك سؤال واذا لم تعرف الاجابة تدفع 5 دولارات
واذا لم اعرف انا الاجابة ادفع لك 500 دولار
This gets the guy's attention and, figuring there will be no end to
this torment, agrees to the game.
جذب ذلك انتباه المصرى وعلم انه لا نهاية لهذه اللعبة
ووافق على اللعب
The American asks the first question, "What's the distance from
the earth to the moon?"
وسأل الامريكى "ماهى المسافة بين الارض والقمر؟؟
The Egyptian doesn't say a word, reaches into his wallet, pulls out
a $5 bill, and hands it to the American.
لم ينطق المصرى بكلمة ولكن فتح محفظته واخرج منها 5 دولارات واعطاها للامريكى
"Okay," says the American, "your turn."
وعندها قال الامريكى : جيد. لقد حان دورك
So the Egyptian asks, "What goes up a hill with three legs and
comes down with four?"
سأل المصرى
ما الذى يصعد الجبل بثلاثة ارجل ويهبط من عليه باربعة؟؟
The American thinks about it. No answer.
لم يجيب الامريكى مباشرة
Puzzled, he takes out his laptop computer and searches all his
references. No answer!
فتح الكمبيوتر المحمول وبحث كل المراجع المسجلة عليه
ولكن لا اجابه
He taps into the air-phone with his modem and searches the Internet
and the Library of Congress. No answer.
دخل الى الانترنت من تليفونه المحمول وبحث على جميع المواقع
ولكن لا اجابه
Frustrated, he sends e-mails to all his friends and
coworkers.Checks the input. All to no avail!
ارسل ايميلات الى جميع اصدقائه وفحص الاجابات عليها
ولكن لا اجابه
Finally, a long time later, he wakes the Egyptian and hands him
$500.
وفى النهاية وبعد وقت طويل اخرج 500 دولار واعطاها للمصرى
The Egyptian thanks him and turns back to get his sleep.
شكر المصرى الامريكى وعاد الى النوم
The American, more than a little miffed, stirs the Egyptian and
asks,
ولكن الامريكى لم يكتفى بذلك
"Well, what's the answer?"
حسناً ماهى الاجابة؟؟
Without a word, the Egyptian reaches into his wallet, hands the
American $5, and goes back to sleep!
وبدون اى كلمة اخرج المصرى محفظته واخذ منها 5 دولارات اعطاها للامريكى
ثم عاد الى النوم!
